When I was at Tim Sale’s’s Millionaire Mindset Training in Las Vegas last month I managed to capture some excellent footage of his trainings. I have been so busy (feel like the guy in the dragster in my momentum blog (LOL)) I have not had time to go through much of the footage. However, this morning a light bulb went on in my head about one particular training Tim did that ties into my Momentum blog. I dug it up and posted it here. In this video Tim did a really concise training on how to make $100,000 a month in ARIIX using a special strategy. Of course if you are new to Network marketing you probably think I am speaking in tougues or stark raving mad…but if you are familiar with building big organizations in MLM then you will appreciate how it works.
Activ8 Compensation Plan
Before you watch Tim’s video you might want some background on the ARIIX Activ8 Compensation plan. It is not just a hybrid. ARIIX CEO, Dr. Fred Cooper, is the inventor of this master piece can explain it like nobody else (Fred used to be a consultant in the Network Marketing Industry and travel around helping companies fix their comp plan when they were broken (i.e. when the company is about to go broke). Leveraging Matching Bonus
Did you watch the White Board Presentation? Trying to understand how the millions of dollars (we did $32 million first year) in revenue is distributed amongst distributors can be challenging, especially the “Matching Bonus” component. Unlike the Binary (2 lines of distributors or sales agents producing sales volume) piece of the Pay Plan that pays you for volume on your “lesser leg” you are paid matching bonus anywhere in your organization.
When Tim Sales was asked if he wanted to be the ARIIX Master Distributor (he was not paid to join ARIIX) he said he wanted an extra level of Matching Bonus (at that time he was in Nuskin and they have only 6 levels of matching bonus) or he wouldn’t join us. Fred said OK, and thanks to that we have another level of matching bonus (thanks Tim!). You might ask why would that be such a big deal, right? Tim said he needed that extra level to talk to the “big networkers”, and went on to explain how we will earn more from that one extra level of matching bonus than all of the other 6 combined. Considering that whole MLM companies (i.e. Trivani and Jus International) have joined ARIIX en masse and top leaders with tens of thousands on their team are finding a new home with ARIIX it obviously made a difference.
When I join a company one of the first things I do is a spreadsheet to see how well the comp plan pays. Of course I did this with ARIIX too and I was very pleasantly surpised. Though there are 8 ways to get paid the matching bonus is a wonder to behold. You are paid a % check match on everyone you sponsor and everyone they sponsor, etc. through 7 generations. Something to remember here is the fact it does not matter which “line” these people are in. People get so focused on building their “pay line” they forget this aspect of the compensation plan – when you get a leader in your “power line” you must realize you are still getting paid on their volume only now it is in the form of check match. The bigger their check the bigger your matching bonus (go team go!). When you have momentum in your organization your check match gets REALLY interesting. The chart on the right is a snapshot of how Matching Bonus works. It shows weekly commissions paid through 7 levels if all the reps were making just 50 bucks a month (will never happen – this is for education only).

Dynamic Compression With Matching Bonus
Dynamic Compression allows you to get paid around your inactive or non-qualifying downline distributors, but leaves them in place and gives them time to build their organizations. It provides an incentive for you to work with your downlines, even those many levels of sponsorship down the genealogy. The bottom line is it puts more money into your pocket!
For example, on our Matching Bonus if I sponsor Ken I am entitled to earn 15% on whatever he earns on his base commission. Remember, base commission is what is paid out to you at 15% on any volume that comes into your “pay line” or lesser volume line(s.) So, if Ken earned $100.00 in base commission I would be able to earn $15.00 in a matching bonus (15% of $100).
If I were “not qualified” for that month the $15.00 I would have earned from my matching bonus would go UPLINE to the first person in my upline who WAS qualified. It “dynamically compressed” to the first person who was qualified. This is a big feature – I was on a team of 800,000 distributors (Excel Communications) and my upline used to show me how much money he was losing without dynamic compression (i.e. 200,000 reps doiing nothing but within the 7 levels we got paid on – it cut off the revenue from the worker bees and big volume down below). Dynamic compression makes sure you are paid on all 7 levels with no breakage.
What do we have to do to ensure we are “qualified” so we receive our earned commissions each week?
We either have to be on a $100 a month Auto-Delivery Program which produces 75 points in volume or we have to sell $100 in product each month (75 points in volume) to be “qualified.”
In order to be eligible to be “qualified” to receive MATCHING BONUSES on our downline recruits we must UNLOCK our first three generations of downline by SPONSORING FOUR NEW REPS who are all on AUTO-DELIVERY. Any rep who recruits FOUR NEW REPS in their first 8 weeks UNLOCKS their first three generations (15%, 10% & 5%) FOR LIFE (called Gold Status). Even if one of the four reps decides to “drop out” your first three generations remain “unlocked” so you never miss a matching bonus on the first three generations.
The ARIIX Activ8 Compensation Plan rewards those who are really engaged and working the business and does not penalize those who are working by paying commissions to those who are not “doing their fair share.” Dynamic compression allows those who are really working the business to earn all the money they can, even income that could have and possibly should have been paid to someone in their downline, but because that downline rep didn’t meet the level of qualification their earnings went upline to those who DID qualify.
Pretty sweet, eh?
Why Is An Extra Level of Matching Bonus Such a Big Deal?
The 7th level (if you build it right) is your largest revenue producer because of the exponential growth down through all levels. If you look at the matching bonus chart above you will see the 7th level pays more than all the other levels combined. Well, Tim had over 50,000 reps in 36 countries in Nuskin before he retired from that company so you do the math on what that extra level would have done for him (they only pay 6 levels).
Placing Your New Business Position On the Lesser Leg of Your Biggest Leader
In the video you will hear the phrase “optimized leg” or “optimized line” used quite a bit, which probably sounds like Swahili if you don’t know what that is. In the ARIIX Multiline Compensation Plan an “optimized line” is 13,334 in commisionable volume (called points) on both lines.
Since Tim recommends building deep in the beginning (and I follow his advice) it starts out looking like a binary plan but each time you optimize 2 lines you get a new “business position” and another 2 lines (unlimited number of positions which you can place frontline or continue building down). Where you place that new business position can make a big difference in your momentum and sales growth and of course your paycheck.
How Much Do “Optimized Lines” Pay?
In the ARIIX Multiline Compensation Plan you get 15% commission on all your sales volume of your “lesser leg” or smallest team volume line. You are paid 15% of 13,334 or $2,000 per week per optimized line.
Advantages of Extra Paylines
If you are not a networker I am sure I have lost you by now – but if you are you will want to understand the advantages of extra paylines.
If you have a $40,000 sales volume week and you have just 1 payline the extra volume spills over and goes to your upline (anything great than $13,334). You still make $2,000 that week but if you had the 2 extra paylines you would make $6k that week – which woudl you prefer? Each time you optimize a line and get a new “business position” and you can then place that position somewhere in your organization…drum roll please….and capture the momentum (i.e. place that on the lesser volume leg of your strongest leader – you know they are going to build with you!). We call it “leap frogging” and it is a whole lot of fun, and of course each time you leap frog you are making an extra $2k a week residual. If you are used to building straight down then this video will peak your interest. Do this 5 times and you are earning $100k a month (actually more since there are other ways we get paid too).
